The mission of NYS OASAS is to improve the lives of all New Yorkers by leading a comprehensive premier system of addiction services for prevention, treatment, and recovery.

Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP)

The ONDCP is committed to restoring balance to U.S. drug-control efforts by placing a renewed emphasis on community-based prevention programs, early intervention programs in healthcare settings, aligning criminal justice policies and public health systems to divert non-violent drug offenders into treatment instead of jail, funding scientific research on drug use, and, through the Affordable Care Act, expanding access to substance abuse treatment. 

Pivot (formerly the Alcohol and Substance Abuse Council of Jefferson County)

Pivot offers prevention and information services for alcohol abuse and alcoholism, underage drinking information and help, substance abuse information and help, and self-help meeting listings.

Talk 2 Prevent

Offers tools for parents to talk to their children about the risks of underage drinking. Resources available for planning, launching, evaluating and sustaining coalitions, prevention outreach, and education in helping to make a meaningful impact with youth and the community.
